Rangers have fully agreed a deal with Danish side FC Nordsjaelland to sign midfielder Mohamed Diomande.

The Scottish Premiership club will pay a fee in excess of £4.3m (€5m) for the 22-year-old.

Diomande is waiting to be granted a work permit before he can travel to Glasgow to complete the move.

The Ivory Coast U23 international has played more than 100 times for Nordsjaelland, including matches in European competition, and has scored 13 goals for the club.

Diomande is set to become Rangers’ second signing of the January transfer window after the loan arrival of striker Fabio Silva from Wolves.

The winter transfer window is open and will close at 11pm in England and midnight in Scotland on Thursday February 1.

To ensure harmonisation with the major leagues in Europe, the closing dates were set following discussions with the EFL, DFL, Serie A, LaLiga, and LFP, who will all close their summer and winter windows on 1 September and 1 February respectively.
